[giveaway] shu uemura x wong kar-wai

Shu Uemura has partnered with award-winning filmmaker Wong Kar-Wai for their new holiday collection (you can watch the video here), and I was hired to cover their new line’s preview and release party. Their amazing new line is full of brilliant colors, and I noticed how it was mainly made up of blues and purples, with much emphasis on the eyes while keeping the rest of the face pale. I love the look that the artists came up with! Lots of interesting people at the party in Opus, had such a good time covering this one! 

So I’m giving away three Shu Uemura eyelash curlers (because of that line from Devil Wears Prada, and since people keep telling me that Shu Uemura makes really good eyelash curlers!) here on my blog, and all you have to do to join is to follow a few simple steps!

Actually, when I think of Shu Uemura, this memory of a scene in Devil Wears Prada pops up. It’s the scene where Gisele Bunchen (as Serena) is talking with Emily about Anne Hathaway, who is the new recruit at their company and she goes, “Tell me about it. We were in the Beauty department and she held up this Shu Uemura eyelash curler and said ‘What is this?’”. I don’t know why that line stuck in my head. But for some reason it did. So that’s where I got the idea to give away the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers!

Go Forth

Go Forth is Levi’s new global campaign, and I took part in a little promotional project for them here in the Philippines by going around a couple of shopping centres in Makati, spotting people wearing Levi’s and taking their photo in exchange for some Levi’s merchandise. You can see the photos I took of the people on Levi’s Facebook page. They decided to feature me as well, although I just borrowed that trucker jacket. Not really big on denim jackets, but these surprisingly fit me quite well! 

Aside from giving me the chance to collaborate on this project with them (and a bunch of loot, hehe) they also decided to give me a couple of Levi’s All Access Cards to give away here on my blog!

EMAIL PHOTOGRAPHY MODELING
Hello, my name is Ira. I’m not like everyone else. I have no idea what the future brings, so I worry too much about it. I like big, comfy shoes that feel like they’re a part of me when I walk. But I love shoes that look great but aren’t made for walking even better. I’m sick, *cough*. Very sick. I have mood swings. Alcohol is heavy, especially beer. I prefer things that make you happy, not drunk. I love Tequila and Absinthe though. Paradox? I like my jeans bootcut, straight or skinny. I usually dress in blue. February 11 is a special date, i accept gifts! Stalking me could prove interesting. I have been shown the value of morals. I hate it when people leave their houses without thinking what they look like. I loving it when I have the time to sleep. I’m very perceptive and somewhat of an empath. Too much of an empath. Oh yeah I’m a vampire by the way. Unexpected. Photography is my life and my expression. I try to express beauty. I don’t believe in money or time. But it is a very interesting game. All of it. I see life as a game of perception. I’m interested in blood and whatnot. Especially blood. Sexy and undead just go together. For reals. Yes, I’m quite vain. I’m just another misguided ghost.
